  1. Q: Where's the display program to let me read the Bible?

  3. A: The files on the Bible diskettes are ASCII text files, and were so large
  4. that we were unable to find a text display program that would be able to
  5. display an entire book without errors. Therefore, we have not included a
  6. program to display the files.
  7.  
  8. Q: So, how do I read the files?
  9.  
  10. A: There are a number of ways you could read the Bible text files. If you
  11. have a word processor, you could load the files into it, and read them
  12. through it. Or, by using the DOS TYPE command, you could read the files on
  13. your computer's screen. For example, to read the topics list, your would
  14. use the command:
  15.                          TYPE TOPICS.OUT <enter>
  16.  
  17. Q: What if I want to print the Bible out to my printer?
  18.  
  19. A: Again, if you have a word processor, you could load the book of the
  20. Bible you wish to print into it, then print it from there. Or you could use
  21. one of the following DOS commands to print the file. For example, and using
  22. the Topics list again:

  24.                          PRINT TOPICS.OUT <enter>

  26.                        COPY TOPICS.OUT PRN: <enter>

  29. Q: Who wrote these Bible Disks?

  31. A: As far as we know, the text files which make up this Bible-on-disk are
  32. public domain and not owned by anyone. As to who actually typed in every
  33. word, we don't know.
